Hospital Trips
March 31, 2009
Well, I just enjoyed the past couple of days since Sunday. I got off from work got in the car and smashed my middle and ring finger of my right hand while closing the car door. Luckily it did not bruise or bleed or even broken. I was thankful for that. We didn’t go out until 6 that night to a Japanese steakhouse, which was cool and everything having my food cooked right in front of me.
But I got sick later on that night around 1 am. I started feeling nauseous and some minor pain which kept me awake then I vomited. I couldn’t sleep very well for the rest of the night and I vomited 2 other times that night. Morning came and I was fine for the most part… I took some Pepto Bismol to calm the nausae and vomiting down, but it didn’t help much because soon afterwards I threw it back up.
What sucked was that I had an exam in one of my classes on Monday and I had no choice but to go and take it because I wouldn’t be able to take it another day. Also I don’t want to take the chance that she would of let me, but I had no way of knowing that. I would say I did pretty well on it regardless of my illness. My husband took me to a clinic first to see if they could do anything about it and the Nurse Practitioner said it could be a number of things like a problem with my gallbladder, appendicitis, a minor case of food poisoning, or Gastroenteritis or something similar. He suggested that I go to the emergency room immediately and my husband did exactly that.
He took me straight to the emergency room. I got registered, but had to wait an hour and a half for a room. I would have gone to triage instead but my pain had gotten worse. I was freezing cold, shivering, my limbs were falling asleep, a little nausea, with severe abdominopelvic pain. Not fun I tell you. I got in a room and was seen by a doctor soon afterwards then wasn’t seen by anyone again for an hour. I was somewhat glad because I couldn’t hold open my eyes much longer and fell asleep. Soon after I woke up a registered nurse came in and requested a urine sample and blood samples. After that I got to have a fluid IV. I was so happy to have some hydration.
They threw out most of the possibilities given by the Nurse Practitioner except the gallbladder and had a ultrasound done. The gallbladder appeared normal, but they found that I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. If I do get the CNA job with the health insurance then in 1 to 3 months from now I will get another ultrasound to see if I still have the cyst and if I still have it then I will have it removed. I really don’t want that pain again. It is not pain it is anguish. I’ve never experienced that kind of pain before.
I am still recovering and was only able to go to my lecture portion of my Anatomy & Physiology class. My husband told me I should stay home and rest. I fell asleep for a good 3 hours. I tried to do some laundry but I felt exactly how I felt when I walked across campus to where Robert’s class was. I’m just going to sit back and relax until I have my interview tomorrow which will hopefully go well.
Also on a happier note, my husband got me this cute adorable bunny…which cheered me up some.
Here is the bunny:

When talking fails, blogging prevails. Lawl.
Just a little something to make you crack a smile before I say I’m glad you’re taking it easy. Don’t think anyone saw that coming and I’m hoping the treatment for it goes successfully. Good to know Robert is still doing his job. *shot*
Do respect your limits this time around. =]

Nice bunny, though it does look kinda creepy with the black background…XD
Also, all the best to you on your interview. As Captain Falcon would say, “Show them your moves!” If you don’t get the reference, ask Robert, haha.

Thanks for the smile and I hope the treatment for it goes well too. Also thanks for the best wishes on everything. I get the reference because I’ve been playing Smash Bros Brawl. ^_^ Catch phrases…joy!

Although I forgot to mention this in the entry which I’ll add it. But when we got home later that evening while we were going to go to sleep he held me in a tight hug and said “I don’t ever want to lose you.” ^^; He worries a little too much, but that just proves to me that he loves me.
