Part Two: Daughter
Author’s Note: The following entry is from my deviantART account, aikouikirisu.
Really it is the same as the previous entry except this is from the daughter’s point of view. My friend isn’t really the poetic type which is why I wrote them in her honor. So thank you for reading.
The same applies with the “friend” word. She is me.

To you I’m nothing
Short of a failure
In your life
To another
I am great
Here I am
Standing before you
But with flaws
That mark me
As a fragile human,
A woman of no strength,
No hope
I hide behind
Many masks
That hide my pain
So well that all
But my love can’t see
You are blind
To my tears
And deaf
To my cries
Like it matters
Any longer
All the while I wonder
If you actually can see something
In me
Or do you only see the image
Your mind has created
Of me, Mother?

Part One: Mother
Author’s note: I had posted it in deviantART and had decided why not post it in here. I know know of one or two people who will highly disagree with this poem along with its sequel, but at the time this was what I was feeling.
If this poem seems crappy… I apologize because I wrote it in a minute or two this morning of 8/11/2008 at 6 am. I know this poem sounds rather emo. Let tell you the person I refer to in this tells me about her life many of times and honestly I wish her the best to graduate college and escape the clutches of her failure in life. Or should I say believed failure in life? Yes that sounds more right than the other.
In the honor of my friend.
You and I both know that “my friend” is not really my friend…that it is really me. You can comment if you like, but it won’t change the reality of this situation.

Disappointment
A Failure
That is all you will
Ever be in this life
You will fail
And tumble down
Below all
Never rising above the rest
Trivial
Non-essential
You will remain, my fair child
Or should I say not mine
For how big of a disappointment
You are
Shall I refer to you as failure
Or an error in life
I couldn’t possibly refer to you
With any ownership
Embarrassment
Far too high
Who needs you…
You failure of a daughter?

Good Night
Good night, sleep tight
Sleep well for me tonight
Do not fear, my love
Because I’ll be here when you wake
Humming to you the sweetest melody
I lie awake
For hours till dawn
Watching you sleep
In the light of the moon
I whisper in his ear
Do not worry you are safe
From them
And I swear to you
I won’t hurt you like them
I move my gaze
Toward the stars up above
Asking them
How could they let you get hurt ?
Why would anyone would want to hurt
An angel so sweet, so kind
So gentle and tender
I would love to
Wake up to you every morning
In your arms
Looking up at your smiling face
That would brighten up the day
I have yet to face
Good night, sleep tight
Sleep well for me tonight
Just dream sweet dreams for me
As I watch you sleep
Do not fear, my fallen angel
Because I’ll be here when you wake
Humming to you the sweetest melody

Look for me by Moonlight
The sun has gone to rest
The night has just began
Moon, come out of hiding
And shine your light bright
Please don’t sleep yet, my love
Moonlit path
A guide for you
To find your way to me
In the starry night
Come to me at midnight
Come out to play, my angel
I’ll be standing here, alone
In the moonlit night, waiting
Calling to you, calling your name
I must leave by early light
A new dawn arising
With the sun coming
I cannot stay any longer
Now that our night is done
I want you to live today for us
I’ll return again by night
Don’t forget your way to me
Shining halo above us
Look for me by moonlight
Watch me dance with the shadows of the night
I’ll come for you by twilight
While the moon will be your guide
As you come for me
